Online Self-Reporting

The Readington Township Police Department offers an online reporting system for certain non-emergency incidents. This service allows residents to conveniently file a police report from a computer or mobile device without waiting for an officer to respond.

You may use the online reporting system for incidents such as:

  • Identity Theft
  • Follow-up Report
  • Criminal Mischief
  • Reports for insurance purposes
  • Lost property
  • Property damage (not including a motor vehicle crash)
  • Minor thefts without a known suspect
  • Fraud or identity theft reports for documentation purposes
  • Harassment (non-domestic, no threats of violence)

Do NOT use online reporting if:

  • The incident is an emergency
  • The incident involves injury, ongoing danger, or a crime in progress
  • You know the identity of the suspect or have evidence requiring immediate police response

If any of the above apply, please call 9-1-1 (emergency) or (908) 534-4031 (non-emergency).
